The vLocPro range of locators has been developed by a team of engineers with many years
experience in locator design. Vivax-Metrotech also keeps a database of ideas and input from
customers that help us design and build locators that address the problems of people who use
locators everyday.
The vLocPro is a multi-purpose locator, providing a large suite of frequencies and features to help
address the full range of problems a user may encounter, however we also understand that many
users of our equipment are under pressure to complete their work quickly so we make it easy to
“switch off” features not regularly used (they can be switched back on easily) - this provides the best of
both worlds all the features when you want them, and just the ones you need when under pressure
vLocPro-SD Locator
The vLocPro-SD Locator uses a new techniques “Signal Direction” which synchronizes the transmitter
and receiver to improve the users confidence that they are locating the line to which the transmitter is
attached. This system works with direct connection from the transmitter to the line, or by use of a
special “SD-Clamp”. Vivax-Metrotech is seeking patent protection on this new enhancement.

vLocML Locator
The vLocML Locator is a multi-purpose locator with a factory installed option to locate the
various buried “markers” used in our industry. The unit is recognizable by the carbon
fiber collar near the base of the antenna tube. Other manufacturers use clumsy fold
down antennas, or heavy internal ferrite antennas. The Vivax-Metrotech solution is a
permanently mounted lightweight carbon fiber encased antenna.
The vLocML provides the choice of locating one type of marker only, or all markers
simultaneously. One can also choose to look only for markers, or locate and search
for markers at the same time.
The locator display indicates the marker type it is identified by both an ICON and a
number - the response is indicated by a large circular ball.
The vLocML provides the ability to line locate (only),
marker locate (only), or to do both simultaneously.
Search for individual marker types (power, gas,
water, etc) or search for all marker types.
Most combined marker locators are dramatically
heavier than a standard locator, and often have
heavy clumsy fold down antennas. The carbon fiber
technology used by Vivax-Metrotech makes the
vLocML a light ergonomic product.
Loc-10Tx & Loc-5Tx Locator Transmitters
Vivax-Metrotech provides 10W and 5W transmitters for use with this range of
locators. Both transmitters have alkaline batteries (with rechargeable options).
They can also be powered from (optional) external 12V DC or 100-240V AC power
adaptors. The vLocDM transmitters provide 150W output and can be powered by
50V DC (rectifier), 110-240V AC & 12V DC (power output is limited if powered by

The Loc-10Tx has been the work horse (10 watt) transmitter since the introduction of the vLocPro. Hardware and
software modifications have recently been made which substantially increases the battery life of this product. The
Loc-5Tx is a new “low profile” (5 watt) transmitter - it costs less and is more economical to operate.
Each transmitter can apply the location signal by connection, induction and signal clamp. Each market has a
pre-defined suite of frequencies. (see data sheet) Any combination of frequencies between 400Hz & 200 kHz can be
provided on request.
Direct connection - maximum of ten frequencies
Induction - maximum of three frequencies
Clamp - will provide any frequencies that are defined in connection mode and fall in the range 8 kHz to 83 kHz
vLocPro & vLocPro-SD Locators
Vivax-Metrotech continues to develop the vLocPro range of locators to provide new levels of
performance, and address additional locating and fault detecting applications. The result is
this new and innovative range of locating products.
Vivax-Metrotech continues to use ABS and carbon fiber housings to provide a strong, rugged
and light weight product. A dual core processor ensures lightening fast response, and a color
TFT display provides information in a clear and informative way. These receivers are powered
by internal rechargeable batteries together with an alkaline (emergency backup) pack, to
ensure you never run out of power.
Identical in appearance to the standard vLocPro, the
vLocPro-SD introduces SIGNAL DIRECTION (patent
pending) a new feature for confirming that the line being
traced is the line to which the transmitter is connected.

vLocDM Locator
The vLocDM is used to collect data for pipeline coating
evaluation. Optional Bluetooth/GPS enables detailed
and accurate locate and location data to be stored. The
locator response is displayed in a new simplified and
intuitive way, incorporating the signal response, both
left/right and alignment (compass) data.
Vivax-Metrotech partners with several GPS receiver
manufacturers to provide the ability to capture and
store locator information with GPS data.
VCam Sewer Cameras
The vCam is the third generation of CCTV inspection camera designed and developed by Vivax-Metrotech. As with all
Vivax-Metrotech products - the design has been heavily influenced by our customers and the experience of extensive field
use. It is sold and supported by dedicated professionals around the world.
The vCam CCTV pushrod inspection cameras provides the choice of two control modules - the vCamView for viewing only
and the vCamDigital for viewing and recording. Three reel options are offered, cart type (Type-C - 100ft/30m or 200ft/60m
pushrod cable), which is the standard reel, the mini reel (Type-M - 100ft/30m pushrod cable) for those requiring a small reel,
and a large reel (Type-P - 400ft/120m pushrod cable). The pushrod cable comes in two sizes, 10mm for use in small diameter
pipes and the 12mm diameter for larger pipes, and/or longer distances. Standard and self leveling cameras are available for
each cable size.
The vCam range of pushrod CCTV inspection cameras was designed and developed with the help of customers who use
these products on a daily basis. Each of the following features are in response to their specific requests.

VLocCam Locator
This vLocCam is designed to locate pushrod camera Sondes. It is
equipped with the frequencies used by most other popular pushrod camera
sytems - 512Hz, 640Hz. It also includes 33 kHz for locating the camera in
deeper non-metallic pipes. A power mode is included to locate signals
radiating from adjacent pipes and cables.
